My first role is as a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer. I help customers to determine which mortgage programs best fits their circumstances. Some customers are ready to move forward right away, whether with a new home purchase or by refinancing and existing home. Others are not ready, for whatever the reason, and I help them prepare for that time they are ready.

My second role is Branch Manager. I say this is my second role because I believe you must practice what you preach before you and lead others. I help my operational and sales staff to grow in their role and their career. I know that not everyone will work with me forever and may move on to other opportunities. Its my responsibility to make sure they are ready when that opportunity presents itself.

From high school I enlisted in US Navy and served as a Reactor Operator for 8.5 years. I would still say this was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I grew as a person and am grateful for that struggle. After serving in the Nuclear Navy I started a career in the mortgage business. I was discharged from the Navy and looking for work. I found an add in the paper for a loan officer, so I went for an interview and got the job. At that time this was a big deal for me. I started by selling subprime mortgage and did so well they promoted me to Branch Manager in another state. I love that and did very well. I had 12 loan officers working for me and we were the top producing branch. The industry had some troubles and I made a career change and worked for a few banks and brokers before I started my own mortgage brokerage. I still beleive that this is where I really learned the busines. I had to learn all the products and programs and I had to learn how to grow my own business by developing referral partners. The mortgage industry went through more hard times and do did I. So, I went back to work for a bank and over the last 10 years have continued to grow as a person and as an originator. My move to Shamrock Home Loans had less to do with money and more to do with the right value systems. I finally partnered with a company that really believes in caring for their employees and their customers. I look forward to a long and prosperous career here.

When I am not working I like to spend time with my wife. We have a shared faith in Christ and attend Stonebridge Church Community. I am blessed with two daughters and a son. I also work hard to stay fit and healthy by eating right and working out in my home gym.
